Our Mission
ATSAR's mission is to train, certify, and deploy highly qualified search canine teams and drone operators to assist law enforcement and public safety agencies in locating missing persons.
Service and Impact: Since 2004, our all-volunteer teams have participated in hundreds of missing person searches, saving public safety agencies millions of dollars as all our services are provided free of charge.
Organizational Readiness: Our members are on call 24/7/365 for local, state, and federal requests. Teams are rigorously trained, certified, and maintain standards that meet or exceed Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) guidelines.
Support: Members volunteer their time and cover most personal expenses (gas, equipment, etc.). We rely on community donations to continue providing this vital, life-saving service.
ATSAR only responds to requests from law enforcement or public safety agencies. In an emergency, dial 9-1-1. For missing persons, please have your law enforcement contact call the ATSAR hotline at 404-981-4911.
